How Tactus GenTrak Works
The Tactus GenTrak system uses a compact and rugged terminal device that is easily attached inside each generator and connected to the generator's control panel. The terminal includes a GPS system to record position and a GPRS modem for “always on” communication with the GenTrak server. The GSM SMS (Short Message or “Text” Service) is also available as an alternative transmission method if there are gaps or breaks in the GPRS service. The terminal can connect to external devices via I/O pins, analogue inputs and Dallas Onewire™ interface. These can include heater controls, water detectors or fuel quality sensors.

The GenTrak server monitors up to 1000 generators. Functions include:
