Decipher Technology is a Dublin based security technology and fleet management systems company. Decipher has sourced the best in class products for its portfolio. Working with Tracker Networks, the UKs largest vehicle tracking and fleet management company, Decipher is building their client base in Ireland.
The company offers two main products for vehicles. A stolen vehicle recovery product and fleet management for companies of all sizes.
Tracker Response is the stolen vehicle recovery product is a monitored security product that is activated in the event of a vehicle been stolen. The product works with RFID tags, that must be registered when the vehicle's ignition is started. If the tags are not present then the monitoring centre gets to work and if required will contact the Gardai. Clients can also use the online service to check locations and routes and calculate mileage. The rate of recovery is improved greatly when a Tracker is installed.
Tracker Reporter is the fleet management product recommended by Decipher Technology. The system allows managers to keep an eye on vehicles on the road. Reports can show start times, stop times, location, visits to a customer site as well as monitor speed and idling. The system is proven to reduce the costs of a fleet significantly as well as making companies more efficient.
Hoistech Ltd is the largest Lifting Gear Company in Ireland, with a fleet of fifteen service vans on the road nationwide daily. Hoistechs' Service Director ,Vincent Feeney believes it has revolutionised their company for the better. “Decipher recommended their fleet management system to us a few months back. Their installation and training service was first class, they minimised any down time due to installation to zero. The system has already paid for itself in terms of making our team more efficient and my job a lot easier. Our clients are happy too, as our response times have been reduced significantly. I would recommend Decipher Fleet management to any company that has any cars, vans or trucks out there.”

Decipher Technology becomes Irish partner with Tactus providers of GenTrak
September, 2006 – Tactus, the AlanDick telemetry products and solutions company, has announced that Decipher Technology Limited will distribute its remote management telemetry systems in Southern and Northern Ireland .
Initially the Dublin-based distributor will concentrate on promoting the revolutionary Tactus GenTrak system, which cost-effectively supports the complete remote management of fixed and mobile generators.
The system consists of a compact and rugged unit that can be mounted inside the generator, connecting to the generator control panel and interfacing with generator systems using specialised sensors such as fuel probes.
Features of GenTrak, which is expected to save large users and rental companies unnecessary expensive site visits, and so keep marginal costs under control, include the automatic checking of functions such as power output and vital signs such as fuel levels plus oil quality.
When these functions pass pre-set limits, GenTrak automatically raises the alarm for a maintenance engineer to visit.
Commenting on the appointment of Decipher Technology as a distributor, David Williams, AlanDick's corporate marketing manager and head of Tactus global sales, said that Ireland 's markets are ideal sales opportunities for Tactus GenTrak, owing to the country's lower population density and relatively remote locations where generators are often installed.
“Tactus GenTrak is ideal for cellular base-station locations, as it saves on site visits and helps to keep cell site running costs under control. Our studies in Africa have shown that the Tactus GenTrak system can actually reduce the total cost of ownership of cell sites in GSM networks with payback within 3-6 months in many cases,” he added.
According to Williams, not only does GenTrak save on network support costs, but it can also help to maintain carrier revenues and customer satisfaction, since the system can alert carriers to potential cell site problems before they become apparent to the network control centre.
Graham Kinsella, Decipher Technology's business development director, said he expects sales to come from both the network and hire markets, in which the distributor has made its name known with its advanced tracking and telemetry solutions.
“We have established ourselves as a leading player in Ireland 's cellular tracking technology marketplace and, thanks to this link with Tactus, we fully expect our position to go from strength to strength,” he said.
“Tactus GenTrak is an exciting product to add to our portfolio, since it has the capacity to save cell site operators tangible cash on their base station running costs. Even here in Dublin, a base station site visit can easily run in excess of 150 euros and, if a number of site visits can be saved by Tactus GenTrak, as we believe is the case, then the system will pay for itself in short order,” he added.
“Our motto here at Decipher Technology is to offer new technology to customers without sacrificing the old high levels of support they have come to know and expect from our company,” he said.
Kinsella said that he expects to build on his company's relationship with Tactus, by offering the full range of the company's leading edge products to the growing markets of Southern and Northern Ireland .
“Tactus GenTrak is exactly the sort of product that our customers are looking for. It saves valuable time for engineers, as well as helping to reduce costs overall. We think that even the accountants in our client's companies will be smiling when they realise the cost savings potential,” he said.
